"Holy Jesus!": Miracle 'Jesus' Pictures To Appear On Ebay
This document turns a broken classroom printer into a miraculous image factory, producing ten alleged pictures of Jesus and a full parody of religious spectacle, technology, and market authentication. Williams, surrounded by students recast as the "12 Neo-Apostles," treats the unplugged printer as proof that God understands Silicon Valley better than Bill Gates. The work's comic structure is brutally exact: miracle, witness, image, plastic sleeve, eBay auction, affidavit, signatures, and missionary funding all appear as parts of the same contemporary belief system. Page four's ghostly Jesus image and page five's affidavit of authenticity complete the satire by making bureaucratic validation as important as revelation. The piece is less an attack on faith than on the machinery that turns faith, image, and commerce into mutually reinforcing evidence.
