LG Williams Teaching Philosophy
This teaching philosophy is direct, humane, and almost classical in its belief that education must enlarge rather than domesticate the student. Williams frames teaching as the removal of restraints: the instructor's task is to open the conditions under which students can explore capability, interest, intellect, and consequence. Its rhetoric is less flamboyant than much of the Samizdat archive, but the deeper claim remains defiant: education should liberate students to create, challenge, discover, and lead. The text treats self-reliance and lifelong learning not as administrative slogans but as the ethical foundation of instruction. In the archive, it functions as a counterweight to the polemics, showing the same anti-authoritarian impulse translated into pedagogy.
